About OPGCI

Premier public sector institution established in 1987

Organisation of Public Governance, Communication & Information (OPGCI) is a premier public sector institution established in 1987 with the objective of strengthening governance, enhancing citizen engagement, promoting transparent administration and developing integrated information systems across public institutions.

The organisation acts as a bridge between citizens, public authorities and policy makers to ensure accountability, accessibility and efficiency in public services. OPGCI works in alignment with the national vision of Digital India, minimum government-maximum governance, and citizen-first public administration as articulated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister and the Union Government.

With 120+ regional offices across 28 states and 8 union territories, OPGCI implements governance frameworks, monitors citizen service delivery, conducts training programmes and supports e-governance initiatives at central and state levels.
